Our goal is to ship all tubers by May 1st, but please keep in mind that Mother Nature doesn’t always cooperate. We are in the beautiful state of Michigan, but the weather can change quickly. You can generally expect your tubers to arrive sometime in April, with shipments most likely occurring mid to late April. If weather conditions permit, we may begin shipping as early as March.
If you have not received your tubers by May 15th, please feel free to email Mona@bantablooms.com
We ship all orders via USPS and provide tracking information as soon as your package is on its way. While we take great care in preparing your order, we rely on USPS for safe delivery. Please note that we cannot be responsible for packages lost in transit. However, most packages come with $100 insurance through USPS. In the event of a lost or damaged package, customers are required to file a claim directly with USPS.Thank you for your understanding and patience!

Please note that adding an item to your cart does not reserve it. Your order is only confirmed once you complete checkout and receive an order confirmation number and email.
If you're purchasing multiple varieties, some items may sell out before you finish checking out. We understand how frustrating and disappointing this can be—after all, we've experienced the same excitement and challenges as fellow dahlia enthusiasts over the years.
As a small family-run farm, we pour our hearts into growing these beautiful flowers. While we wish we could offer thousands of each variety, our availability is limited by the scale of our business. We deeply appreciate your understanding and support.

At Banta Blooms, we want you to be thrilled with your order. When your dahlia tubers shipment arrives, please open it immediately. If you encounter any issues, take clear photos of the packaging and the tubers. It's important to contact us within 5 days of receiving your shipment. Report any problems to mona@bantablooms.com , and we’ll do our best to resolve them promptly.
To ensure the longevity of your tubers, store them properly as soon as they arrive. Research your growing zone to determine the optimal planting time. Please note that once the tubers are in your possession, we cannot take responsibility for their care. For expert advice on storing and planting, we recommend visiting the American Dahlia Society (ADS) at dahlia.org.
-
In the rare event of a winter storage issue or if a variety becomes unavailable, our standard practice is to issue a refund for that variety and notify you promptly. Our inventory numbers are carefully managed and represent conservative estimates to help us meet your expectations. We work diligently to avoid any disappointments.

Combining Orders
We’re committed to saving you money by combining shipping whenever possible. Use the discount code COMSHIP2025 on your additional orders to combine them into one shipment. All orders eligible for combined shipping must be placed by March 31, 2025.Please note that only one discount code can be applied at checkout. If you’re using a different discount code and still want to combine shipping, email Mona at mona@bantablooms.com with your order numbers. We’ll merge your orders and refund any extra shipping charges from additional orders.
Cancellations
Please note that cancellations are not permitted. When you place an order, we reserve tubers specifically for you. As a small business, we deeply appreciate your understanding and support. Unlike large operations, our processes are more personalized but come with certain limitations. -
If you're near Lowell, Michigan, or plan to visit the area, you can opt to pick up your order in person! Simply choose Local Pickup in the shopping cart. Local pickup will be available after March 29. This will allow you time to wake up your tubers early. You’ll save $12.00.
If you're unable to pick up your order, don’t worry — You can pay the $12.00 shipping fee and then we’ll ship your order as soon as the weather allows.

Our dahlias are like family, and we take immense pride in ensuring their health and quality. As a small dahlia farm, we are deeply committed to diligent care at every step of the process. We closely inspect and monitor every plant, tuber, and flower, taking proactive measures to maintain the highest standards.
We adhere to strict sanitary practices, including sanitizing tools between plants during harvesting, plant take-down, and tuber division. Every single tuber is personally inspected to ensure it meets our quality standards. Unlike large-scale operations, our hands-on approach ensures that we have direct oversight of every plant, which has been documented as one of the best ways to ensure healthy dahlias. Smaller growers like us often provide your best chance at receiving strong, vibrant plants.
That said, it’s important to understand that no grower can guarantee a plant is entirely virus-free. Some plants may harbor one or more viruses without showing symptoms, and as a small farm, we do not have the resources to test every plant in our fields. Unfortunately, we don’t have you cut or farm visits.
We deeply appreciate your understanding and trust. Rest assured, we are dedicated to providing you with healthy, high-quality dahlias to brighten your garden.

We prioritize the health of our soil and plants through sustainable practices. Whenever possible, we use beneficial insects to naturally manage pests. If spraying becomes necessary, we apply treatments in the evening, primarily using organic solutions, though we may occasionally use non-organic options when absolutely needed.
Soil health is a top priority for us. We regularly amend our soil based on detailed soil testing and create our own compost to enrich it. These efforts help us grow stronger, healthier plants while reducing pest pressure naturally.

At Banta Blooms, we have made the decision not to grow or sell trademarked dahlia varieties. While the recent trend of trademarking certain dahlia varieties is still evolving and can be confusing, we respect the hybridizers’ choice to protect their creations.
That said, as a small farm, we are unable to participate in royalty programs associated with trademarked varieties. We remain committed to offering a diverse selection of beautiful, high-quality dahlias that align with our values and practices.

They are abbreviations size, form and color codes that are used by the American Dahlia Society to classify Dahlias. It’s a shorthand that growers, gardeners, and flower-show folks use to pinpoint exactly which kind of dahlia they’re talking about without needing a long description. So, even if you’re new to dahlias, think of it as a cheat code to decode these flowers’ size, shape, and color—like a secret language for flower fans!
